Throwing a Fourth Of July Bash

Posted on June 20th, 2017

Fourth of July is the perfect long weekend to host a fun barbecue for all of your friends and family! However, the thought of hosting a Fourth of July bash may be a bit daunting; these tips and tricks will help to make sure that guests will be clamoring for your next party! From delicious food to festive decorations, you will be all set for your Fourth of July party as long as you follow these tips!

Be Prepared

Most parties can go off without a hitch as long as you are prepared beforehand. Being organized by knowing the general guest list, having as much food prepared ahead of time, having extra utensils, napkins, etc., setting up games ahead of time, and more, will make it far less stressful. Pre-cut buns, cut up fruits and veggies the morning of, and make lots of ice the week following—or just buy some from the store that morning! When you know about how many people will be there, you’ll be able to determine how much food will be appropriate for your guests.

Food and Drinks

What’s a party without great food and drinks? Fortunately, Fourth of July fare does not need to be anything fancy. Guests will be more than happy with burgers, brats, corn on the cob, fruits and veggies, chips, and an easy dessert. Find the perfect person who loves to grill to help out if you would rather not do the grilling, and set everything out on a large picnic table. There are lots of refreshing drinks you can make for your party, including sangria, margaritas, and more! Feel free to set out a cooler with water, lemonade, and more for easy access to hydration.

Decorations

Red, white, and blue make decorations easy for your party! Get streamers, balloons, plates, napkins, and table runners that all match the theme, and get creative with your desserts and drinks to help make them Fourth of July themed! You can stock up on fireworks if you live in an area where this is allowed; find some fun lawn games, such as Bags or Ladders that you can set up for guests to enjoy.

Your Fourth of July party will be the hit of the neighborhood with great food and decorations! Remember to provide lots of water, sunscreen, and insect repellant to ensure everyone stays safe!
